Lesson plans

Given our andragogic guiding principles,
SIAI offers a variety of lesson types that are optimized for delivering complicated concepts in the most appreciating way of learning.
Students can find each type of course structure not only for self-motivation but also for deepening understanding of the course materials.

Exam-based courses

Courses that deliver fundamental understanding of scientific concepts are often designed to be tested by a final examination. Since examination questions are aggregated representation of entire course material in ways to match real world problems, students are expected to learn how to apply classroom concepts on the job by solving number of problem sets. Classes are given for students to challenge similar questions with the close guidance of the lecturer, which will deepen understanding of the complicated mathematics into plain English.

Term paper based

Courses that require hands-on application of key concepts to real life business through computer programming often have term papers in position of final examination. Students are given to present aggregated understanding of all course materials by solving guideline problems that are designed to apply each concept to tackle a complicated task, all of which to solve a larger real world problem.

Presentation based

Business case courses require students to solve a real-life problem with the benefit of course materials. These courses encourage students form a group, share heavy workload, and provide group evaluation of each individual by an attribution model designed for SIAI courses, a setting similar to corporate environments. By such experience, students learn not only the complicated business cases and data scientific applications of solution, but also ways of cooperation given the team of members.
